Do It Yourself....

Have you noticed how over the years a considerable amount of your time has gone toward making all those wonder gadgets live up to their sales pitch?  Hours spent on help lines, in chat rooms and in the internet trying to fix what we didn’t break.

The iPhone, for instance which isn’t half as reliable as it is made up to be.  Among others promises first rate pictures (most are blurry), music (most gets lost in odd categories),  internet access (not....!!) and ... a phone (but actually do not hold the iPhone near your ear it says so in the fine print!!)

The greatest advantage of the iPhone is that you can shut all its functions down.  At least you won’t get zonked by radio frequency waves 24/7.

It is, of course, wonderful when you have an iMac to upload all your pictures, ship them into the iCloud and use your drop box to share...ah the umpteens possibilities.

The time I have recently spent on making iPhoto work again is only tantamount to trying to make a reservation for a vaccation place using Wimdu.

Funny thing though that with both companies, my account was debited in no time - meaning that I, the customer, had lived up to my side of the deal, whereas the seller didn’t.

Oldest trick in the book.  Usually it’s called fraud, but we have been trained to accept it as a small glitch - probably our own fault.

Let’s see if we can fix it....
